MATHS TUTORING

Adapt tutoring provides tutoring in Maths and Computing. I am based in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

I have studied Maths up to degree level and worked for 10 years as a data analyst, including running a data department. My job involved me using advanced Excel and programming skills. Part of my job was being responsible for training my staff, some who joined shortly after graduating.

I then started my own training and consultancy company and completed a PTLLS course (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). This helped me to understand that people learn in different ways. I have created and run various company training courses as well as training on a individual basis.

I am very enthusiastic about Maths and Computing and enjoy passing this knowledge to others. I have vast experience in this area and feel I can offer a different perspective than someone working in the teaching profession. I have 3 years experience as a Maths Tutor including experience with students who have dsylexia/dyscalculia.

I am particularly passionate about helping students gain the confidence and knowledge to pass their GCSE’s. I believe that all students can pass their Maths GCSE given the right guidance, and want to lose the stigma of being “bad at Maths”.
